Christine 20th January 2019

A year ago this Monday we said our last goodbyes As we gathered in the churchyard with tears in our eyes. The heavens matched the sadness as a million raindrops fell. It seemed that nature joined us as we paused to say farewell. Now I linger at your graveside replaying in my mind The day I thought would never come, but that day was assigned. It’s been, it’s gone but still I can’t ... I can’t quite get to know That this goodbye is final and won’t be followed by hello.
